Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley for Guadalupe Gonzalez, 78, of Westmorland, who died Monday in Pioneers Memorial Hospital in Brawley. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Westmorland.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Brawley.

Mr. Gonzalez was born Dec. 8, 1922, in the state of Michoacan, Mexico. He married Juana Padilla on April 2, 1945, in Michoacan. He moved to the Imperial Valley in 1959 and worked in agriculture until his retirement in 1983.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Westmorland.

Survivors include his wife, Juana Gonzalez of Westmorland; daughters and sons-in-law, Maria and Gustavo Rodriguez and Dolores and Arturo Zamora, all of Westmorland; son and daughter-in-law, Alfonso and Alma Gonzalez of Westmorland; sons, Guadalupe and Juan Manuel Gonzalez, both of Westmorland; brothers, Jose, Luis, Antonio and Ramon Gonzalez, all of Michoacan; sister, Maria Gonzalez of Michoacan; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

ASCENSION ESPINOSA

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in Calexico for Ascension Espinosa, 76, of Calexico, who died Friday in El Centro Regional Medical Center. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Calexico.

Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Calexico.

Mrs. Espinosa was born March 25, 1924, in El Centro. She was a lifelong resident of the Imperial Valley, attending local schools. Her family lived in Stockton, where she also attended schools. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcelino Espinosa, in 1987.

Survivors include her daughters, Dominga Espinosa, Julia Garcia and Estela Herrera, all of Calexico; son, Alfredo Espinosa of El Centro; brother, Pedro Magaña of El Centro; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

ALBERT M. MU--OZ

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in El Centro for Albert M. Muñoz, 19, of El Centro, who died in an auto accident Saturday in San Diego. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in El Centro. Pastor Albert Sanchez of Second Grace Baptist Church of El Centro will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Brawley.

Mr. Muñoz was born June 25, 1981, in Brawley. He was raised in El Centro, attending McKinley Elementary, Wilson Junior High and graduating from Southwest High School in 1999. He last worked as a delivery man for Direct Auto Plaza.

He was a member of the Notorious Car Club of El Centro and the Y.B. and Teen Outcast clubs.

He enjoyed working on his car, being around friends, using the Internet, listening to music and loved his family, according to his family.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Monica and Mike Leon of El Centro; father, Jesus Rios of Coachella; brothers, Fernie and Roberto Leon, both of El Centro; sister, Erica Leon of El Centro; and maternal grandparents, Velia and Manuel Muñoz of Calexico.
