Thank You: Southwest High Christmas ball thanks

January 06, 2001

The Southwest High School Native-American Club would like to publicly recognize and thank the following people and businesses who helped make our third "Christmas ball" a complete success.

The event sponsored by Judge Donal Donnelly, Mr. and Mrs. Von Bowen and Ben Croutch, allowed people with disabilities to enjoy an evening of dancing and socializing.

The honorees received excellent gifts such as boom boxes, headset radios, watches, cameras and other X-mas gifts. Those gifts were donated by the Outlaw Line Dancers, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and La Gente Car Club (all from Brawley). Their generosity produced happiness, laughter and smiles.

Mr. and Mrs. Eduardo and Meilita Lopez and Hilda Barcenas contributed food for the occasion. Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. provided drinks. Airgas donated helium. The sound system was provided by Mr. Craig Lyon (Southwest High ASB director) and Grace Sesma (Rafael's Gifts & Healing Arts Center, El Centro) provided the music.

ARC staff, America Legion, VFW, Tibetan Culture Center members, Regional Center staff, AmeriCorps students, Ben Walker, Hilda Barcenas, Maureen Kimball, Elaine Duckworth, Ronda Lorente, Henry Neidiffer, Judge Donal Donnelly, Officer Andrew McFadden, Victor and Julia Dorantes, Charlie and Dee Jones, the Outlaw Line Dancers, Winn McFadden, Jackie Regalado, Michelle Aguilar, Vicky Richards, Connie Casillas, Maria PiƱedo, Bill Condit, Ray Naud, parents, numerous Imperial Valley programs and friends contributed their time to make this event a success.

Charlie Jones, the Outlaw Line Dancers and Santa Claus provided excellent entertainment.

From our hearts we thank you and appreciate all of you sharing your time, support and assistance to make this a special event for all of us.
