Faustino Partida

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in El Centro for Faustino Partida, 66, of Holtville, who died Saturday in El Centro Regional Medical Center. Rosary will be at 7 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Holtville with the Rev. Cecilio Moraga officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.

Mr. Partida was born Aug. 24, 1934, in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. He lived in the Imperial Valley for the past 40 years, recently working for John Chimitz in agriculture.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Partida of Holtville; daughters, Irene and Elva Ledezma, both of Mexicali, and Maria O'Neal of Napa Valley; sons, Rigo Partida of Imperial, Mario, Rogelio, Gerardo and Abel Partida, all of Holtville, and Rafael F. Partida of Washington state; brother, Jose Partida of Calexico; sisters, Gloria Flores of El Centro and Rosa Nuñez of Mexico; 29 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.



Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Pomona Valley Memorial Park in Pomona for Alma Hanson Tabor, 82, of Encinitas, who died Sunday in Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas.

Mrs. Tabor was born Jan. 5, 1919, in Imperial. She lived in Pomona and moved to Tucson in 1959. She returned to the Imperial Valley before moving to Encinitas in 1979. She was an administrator for San Diego State University for 16 years.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathryn Scheetz of Carlsbad; brother, Duncan Hanson of Wasco; and four grandchildren.
