The Under-12 Dynamo Soccer Club of El Centro won its first two games in the Presidio Cup in Lake Elsinore on Saturday.

Dynamo beat Pegasus of Poway 1-0 and the Leucadia Lightning 2-1 to stay atop its five-team bracket.

Leonardo Rosales scored the only goal of the game against Pegasus. He scored with five minutes left in the contest off an assist from Allan Macedo, who had taken the ball down the line and cut it back to Rosales.

Dynamo dominated Pegasus for most of the game and had several opportunities to score.

Efrain Padilla opened the scoring against the Lightning with a header off a corner kick from Juan Rodriguez in the 12th minute. Five minutes later Jonathan Marin scored off a pass from Rodriguez.

The Lightning scored their goal in the second half.

Steve Walker, Dynamo head coach, said, "I though we did good under tough conditions. It was foggy and cold but they played very well. We were very happy with their effort."

"In the second game the kids were a little tired but they gutted it out and found a way to win," he added.

Dynamo continues pool play when it faces the Temecula Soccer Club at 8:45 today and then plays Rancho Santa Fe at 2:30 this afternoon

The top teams in the three five-team brackets will go to the semifinals along with the best second-place team.
