BRAWLEY — The Pioneers Memorial Hospital Board here could appoint a new chief executive officer for the hospital's district at its meeting tonight, according to the board's agenda.
In the agenda, Richard Mendoza is named as the appointee to the position.
Mendoza is originally from Texas and has served in hospital administration for 30 years.
The Pioneers Memorial Hospital District has been without a permanent CEO since November when former CEO Claire Kuczkowski resigned from her position.
Tom Plantz has served as interim chief executive officer for the district during the board's search for a permanent CEO.
Following interviews conducted last week, board members voiced their support for Mendoza as CEO.
