The city of El Centro and the El Centro Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau are teaming up to host a state-of-the-city breakfast.
The event is set for 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Old Post Office Pavilion, 230 S. 5th St. in El Centro. The public is invited to attend and comment.
State-of-the-city presentations will be made by Mayor Cheryl Walker and chamber president Cliff Caldwell.
Walker will first review the significant accomplishments of 2000.
The two also will focus on what the city's businesses and community leaders can expect from the city and chamber during the next 12 months. Updates will be provided on current projects and those in the planning stages.
The breakfast is free to chamber members, while there is a $3 fee for the public.
Reservations are required due to the limited space. Call the chamber at 352-3681 to make reservations.
