NAFTASHO set for Mexicali industrial park over two days

MEXICALI — The fourth annual Manufacturing Industry Suppliers & Service Providers Trade Show, NAFTASHO, will be staged in Mexicali Thursday and Friday at the EX-XXI Industrial Park in the heart of the city's industrial parks area.

The primary focus of the trade show is to highlight the manufacturing industry, suppliers and service providers that cater to companies involved in cross-border trade.

The show runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. The EX-XXI Industrial Park is on Calzada M. Gomez Morín.

The show is intended to promote cross-border business opportunities in the Coachella, Imperial and Mexicali valleys and to acquaint businesses in California with production opportunities available.

More than 200 exhibitors and 4,000 attendees are expected.

The Mexicali region is home to more than 180 maquiladoras in 19 industrial parks with a workforce of 47,000.

Local sponsors include the county of Imperial, the Imperial Irrigation District, International Real Estate, RPM Material Handling, Ace Printing, Imperial Valley College, Valley Independent Bank, Western Auto and the Valley of Imperial Development Alliance.
