Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in Calexico for Margarita N. Cabriales, 97, of Calexico, who died Tuesday in her home. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Calexico.

Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Calexico.

Mrs. Cabriales was born Feb. 22, 1903, in Mexico. She lived in the Imperial Valley for 77 years and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter, Mercedes Olmos of Mountain View; sons, Rodolfo Cabriales of Victorville and Ernesto Flores of Calexico; 14 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great-grandchildren and three great-great-great-grandchildren.


Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in Abbay Funeral Home in Tucson for Dana Lee Brown Pool, 53, of Tucson, who died of cancer Monday in Tucson.


Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Abbay Funeral Home in Tucson.

Mrs. Pool was born Nov. 19, 1947, in Calexico. She was raised in Holtville and attended schools there. She graduated from Holtville High School in 1965. She moved to Yuma in 1976 and later relocated to Tucson.

She was loved by all and will be greatly missed, according to family.

Survivors include her husband, Ron Pool of Yuma; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Amy Pool of Avondale, Ariz.; daughter, Melissa Pool of Avondale; grandchildren, Kaylyn, Zachary and Breanna Pool, all of Avondale; mother and stepfather, Lorraine and Ozie Hughes of Mesa, Ariz.; step-mother, Verlean Pool of Holtville; stepbrother, Kenneth Gaskin of Holtville; sister, Debbie Holman of Mesa; sister and brother-in-law, David Gee of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Linda Brown of Mesa; stepsisters, Donna Freeman of Imperial and Mitzi Gibson of Payson, Ariz.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Association.
