As so many others, I work at a locally owned business in downtown El Centro. After the $3 million renovation there is still no parking structure or parking permits for business owners and employees.
The two-hour parking restriction is nothing less than disrupting. You cannot tell your customers, "Sorry, I have to lock up the store now. I have to go move my car."
Imagine the lost business. As a single parent receiving a ticket a week greatly decreases my take-home income per week. There has to be a compromise here somewhere.
