Arlene Valentine Wilson

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in El Centro for Arlene Valentine Wilson, 60, of El Centro, who died Feb. 4 in her home.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro with the Rev. Clarice Christian of Edwards Chapel American Methodist Episcopal Church in El Centro officiating.

Mrs. Wilson was born Feb. 4, 1940, in Seeley. She was raised in Seeley and attended high school in Los Angeles. She attended the San Bernardino College nursing program, and worked in San Bernardino County Hospital.

Survivors include her daughter, Novella Lynn Wilson of El Centro; son, Byron DeWayne Wilson of El Centro; brothers, Wilbur Evans of Mexicali, Gordon Evans of Brawley and Augustin Evans of El Centro; sisters, Barbara Gray of Whittier, Mae Arterberry of Brawley, Van Orman of Upland, America Berryman of El Centro, Jean Jackson of Killeen, Texas, and Ana Mae People of Los Angeles; granddaughter, Najazza Novella Leara Gray of El Centro; and numerous nephews and nieces.

ERLINDA OCHOA SINGH

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in El Centro for Erlinda Ochoa Singh, 92, of Heber, who died Monday in Valley Convalescent Hospital. Rosary will be at 7 p.m.

A memorial service will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Hems chapel in El Centro with the Rev. Jaime Escobedo of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in El Centro officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.

Mrs. Singh was born March 8, 1908, in Sonora, Mexico. She was a homemaker and an Imperial Valley resident for 70 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Rosa Maria Singh of Heber; sons, Ruben Gill Singh of Chula Vista, and James Gill and Jesus M. Singh, both of El Centro; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

MARIA R. ALVARADO

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in Calexico for Maria R. Alvarado, 78, of Calexico, who died Thursday in El Centro Regional Medical Center. Rosary will be at 7 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at noon Tuesday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Calexico with the Rev. Gerardo Fernandez officiating.

Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Calexico.

Mrs. Alvarado was born March 5, 1922, in Jalisco, Mexico. She came to the United States in 1964, settling in Calexico.

She worked in agriculture for many years, following crops from the Imperial Valley to Salinas. She worked for Bud Antle in agriculture for nearly 25 years.

Mrs. Alvarado is survived by her children, Manuel Alvarado of Holtville and Maria de Jesus Roman of Calexico; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
