OCOTILLO — U.S. Border Patrol agents found more than 300 pounds of marijuana along a trail in the mountains west of here Monday morning.

No arrests were made.

The 78 packages of marijuana were inside five duffel bags, said Border Patrol spokesman Arturo Sandoval. Agents were following a path west of Ocotillo about 2 a.m. when they found the 302 pounds, Sandoval said.

Sandoval said agents have found bags of marijuana hidden along the same trail in the past. The drugs were turned over to the Imperial County Sheriff's Office for disposal.
