March 12, 2001|By ANTHONY LONGORIA, Staff Writer

BRAWLEY — The Brawley Elementary School District board will meet here at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the district boardroom at 261 D St.

On the agenda is adoption of a board policy regarding Barbara Worth Junior High School's participation in the state's immediate intervention for underperforming schools program.

The program provides funding for schools performing below targeted improvement percentages based on the academic performance index, a state ranking system of schools that is influenced by the SAT-9 tests.

The board will establish the hiring of an external evaluator who will monitor the school's performance and make recommendations for improvements.
