Boca Juniors fall in IVSL's seventh week

The Imperial Valley Soccer League finished its seventh week of play with the reigning league champ taking a loss.

On March 21, Inter beat Santos with the lone goal in the game scored by Hector Martinez. That same night Panteras beat the reigning champions, Boca Juniors, 4-3.

Marcos Arreola, Ricardo Rodriguez, Rodolfo Ochoa and Rigoberto Vega all scored for Panteras. Roberto Guerrero scored one and Alberto Vega scored two for Boca Juniors.

On Friday, Juventus and Real Madrid tied 3-3.

Luis Rodriguez scored two and Francisco Zarate scored one for Real Madrid.

Adalberto Ponce, Gilmar Sanchez and Raul Valadez all scored one for Juventus. In the second game Friday, Morelia beat Aguilas, 2-1.


Gildardo Florez scored both Morelia goals and Juan Sanchez scored Aguilas' goal.

A match between Napoles and Galaxy was scheduled for Sunday but Galaxy forfeited because not enough players showed.

A team must have at least six players to play.

This week's matches started Tuesday when Inter F.C. beat Real Madrid, 5-1 in a makeup game.

Tonight's matches include Juventus facing Galaxy on the south field at El Centro's Swarthout Park and Boca Juniors playing Aguilas on the north field. Both games are at 8 p.m.

Friday's matches will be Panteras versus Santos at 8 p.m. on the south field and Morelia versus Inter F.C. at 7 p.m. on the north field.

On Sunday, Napoles will face Real Madrid at 7 p.m. on the north field.
