IVSL's eighth week a tight one

The Imperial Valley Soccer League's eighth week of play featured tight games throughout.

Wednesday's game featured Napoles beating Boca Juniors 2-1. Jaime Villegrana and Luis Gutierrez scored Napoles' goals. Edgar Gonzalez scored for Boca Juniors.

Also, Inter F.C. tied with Juventus 1-1. Edurado Flores scored Inter F.C.'s goal while Raul Galadez scored Juventus' goal.

Santos lost to Galaxy 4-2 on Friday. Miguel Figueroa and Osvaldo Lopez both scored one goal for Galaxy while Julio Lopez scored two. Pedro Padilla and Francisco Nuñez scored Santos' goals.

In the second game Friday, Aguilas tied Panteras 2-2. Humberto Toran scored both Panteras' goals. Ramses Lopez and Mario Quintero scored Aguilas' goals.


On Sunday, Morelia beat Real Madrid 2-1 with both Morelia goals coming from Hector Araiza. Real Madrid's goal was by Francisco Zarate.

This week's games will start tonight when Boca Juniors will face Juventus on Swarthout Park's south field in El Centro.

Napoles will face Morelia on the north field tonight.

Friday's game between Panteras and Inter F.C. has been postponed. The second game on Friday between Aguilas and Galaxy will be played.

Real Madrid was scheduled to play Santos on Sunday but that game was also postponed.
