IMPERIAL — A single-vehicle rollover accident this morning brought police and medics to the accident scene but left them searching the area for the car's driver.
Imperial County firefighters responded to the accident at Clark Road and Second Street at 5:38 a.m., said county fire Capt. Tony Moreno.
The car, thought to have been stolen, had rolled and landed with its front end in an irrigation ditch filled with water, Moreno said.
Imperial police informed county fire officials that no one had been found inside the vehicle, Moreno said, adding that searches of the surrounding area failed to locate anyone connected to the accident.
