Jessie Binkley Woody

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro for Jessie Binkley Woody, 87, of El Centro, who died April 22 in Valley Convalescent Hospital in El Centro. The Rev. Walter Colace will officiate.

Mrs. Woody was born Oct. 29, 1913, in Allison, Colo. She lived in Brawley and graduated from Brawley Union High School in 1931. She married Henry A. Woody in Yuma on July 14, 1932.

Mrs. Woody was a member of the Barbara Worth Golf Resort for many years. She loved bowling, bridge and was an avid golfer, according to family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. Woody, in 1992.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Cecilia Woody of Apache Junction, Ariz.; daughter and son-in-law, Carol Rae and Randy Rountree of Holtville; daughter, Joyce Moynier of El Centro; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Bill Lewis of Bayfield, Colo.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family suggests donations in Mrs. Woody's memory be given to the charity of your choice.

NORBERTA O. GARCIA

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in El Centro for Norberta O. Garcia, 63, of El Centro, who died Sunday in El Centro Regional Medical Center. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in El Centro with the Rev. Jaime Escobedo officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.

Mrs. Garcia was born June 7, 1937, in El Salto, Jalisco, Mexico. She lived in the Imperial Valley for the past 32 years and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Rito Garcia of El Centro; sons, Oscar and Mary Garcia of El Centro, Gustavo and Iliana Garcia of San Diego and Rito and Monica Garcia of Hemet; daughters, Martha and husband, Edward Lopez, of Imperial and Maria and her husband, Joe Davila, of El Centro; and 11 grandchildren.

EUNICE LILLIAN

WILABEE

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight in Frye Chapel and Mortuary at 384 W. Main St. in El Centro for Eunice Lillian Wilabee, 104, of El Centro, who died Wednesday in her home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Christian Church of El Centro.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.

Mrs. Wilabee was born Dec. 19, 1896, in Mansfield, Ark. She came to the Imperial Valley in 1921, settling in El Centro, then moved to Brawley before returning to El Centro in 1940.

She worked at JCPenney and as a manager for Polka Dot Shop and Crossland's Furniture. She also was employed by Crossland's Home Furnishings as a bookkeeper.

She was a member of Eastern Star for 54 years, filling the station of worthy matron along with several other stations. She was a 54-year member of Oasis White Shrine and served as worthy high priestess and in other offices. She was a worthy scribe in the group for 31 years.

Mrs. Wilabee enjoyed sewing, China painting and the pride of her life was her grandchildren, according to family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Wilabee, on May 5, 1978; daughter Helen Maynard on Oct. 31, 1972; and son, Paul Wilabee on March 24, 1993.

Survivors include her daughter, Lillian Gresser of El Centro; grandchildren, Linda Sue Docker of Hemet and Jack Charles Gresser of Pismo Beach; grandchildren and spouses, Mary Helen and Stephen Lester of El Centro, Richard and Judy Wilabee of Cerritos and Penny and Steve Wilcox of Virginia Beach, Va.; great-grandchildren and spouses, Roy and Lisa Docker of Lake Charles, La., Stephanie and Charles Foster of La Mesa and Bradley and Shannon Lester of Brawley; great-grandchildren, Bryan and Danny Gresser, both of Santa Maria, and Steve and Susie Wilcox, both of Virginia Beach; and great-great-grandchildren, Dustin Docker and Emmlee and Shelby Bert, all of Lake Charles, and Riley Lester of Brawley.

The family suggests memorials be sent in Mrs. Wilabee's memory to First Christian Church, 450 S. Waterman Ave., El Centro, CA 92243.

RAMONA GONZALEZ

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in El Centro for Ramona Gonzalez, 79, of El Centro, who died Thursday in El Centro Regional Medical Center. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at noon Tuesday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in El Centro with the Rev. Jaime Escobedo officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.

Mrs. Gonzalez was born Aug. 29, 1921, in Oxnard. She was a homemaker who had lived in the Imperial Valley for 16 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in El Centro.

She is survived by her husband, Felix Gonzalez of El Centro; daughter, Irene Salcedo of El Centro; grandchildren, Felipe Reyes of El Centro, Elvira Reyes of Calexico, Gabriel and Lorena Salcedo, both of Salinas, and Jose M. Salcedo of El Centro; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren.
