El Centro police arrested an 18-year-old man this morning on suspicion of brandishing a knife during a fight, according to El Centro police Sgt. Mike Crankshaw.

Chris Trujillo was expected to be booked into county jail for an incident that occurred at 7:45 a.m. at his home in the 1700 block of Lenrey Avenue.

Crankshaw said Trujillo and his friend Anthony Delgado, 21, of Santa Maria had been drinking and were under the influence of alcohol when they started to argue and then fight.

At some point during the fight Trujillo allegedly grabbed a knife and started chasing Delgado.

Police received a disturbance call and responded to the scene.

They arrested Trujillo for brandishing a knife and arrested Delgado on an outstanding warrant. Information on that warrant was unavailable.

Police also arrested Jessica Miller, 19, also of Santa Maria, who was at the house and reportedly under the influence of a drug.
