BRAWLEY — The Hidalgo Society will be holding its 79th annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta from noon to midnight Saturday at Hidalgo Hall on the corner of Cesar Chavez and I streets in Brawley.
The fiesta will include a parade starting at 5 p.m. heading east on Main Street from Planters Bar & Grill before turning right onto Cesar Chavez Street and ending at Hidalgo Hall. Food booths in front of the hall will open at noon.
The Cinco de Mayo queen, Monique Felician, 16, of Brawley, will be crowned at 6 p.m. before the folkloric group Estampas de Mexico performs.
A mariachi group performance will follow the folkloric performance.
The main attraction will be Tercer Generacion of Indio, which will perform from 8 p.m. to midnight in Hidalgo Hall. Admission will be $5.
