SEELEY — A man sustained moderate injuries after falling asleep while driving his car to work Thursday afternoon.
Marco A. Carlos, 33, of Seeley was driving his sedan east on Evan Hewes Highway west of Bennett Road just before 3 p.m. when he fell asleep, according to a California Highway Patrol press release.
Carlos' sedan drifted off the road and struck a power pole and Union Pacific Railroad control box.
Carlos had moderate complaints of pain to his lower back, neck and shoulder. He was transported to El Centro Regional Medical Center, according to the release.
Information on his condition was unavailable this morning.
