An oil leak from a truck forced authorities to close the westbound lane of Main Street near 22nd Street in El Centro this morning.
While there were few details available, El Centro fire officials said a hydraulic line from a truck blew, causing oil to spill onto the roadway sometime before 10 a.m.
While the spill occurred near Sunflower Elementary School, initial reports were that none of the oil leaked onto the school grounds.
City public works staffers were called to the scene to clean the area.
It was unknown this morning how long the westbound lane of Main would be closed.
