Stepping out of the norm and trying something new is a great challenge. This year the junior class of Brawley Union High School met that challenge as it planned the junior-senior prom. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the community of Brawley for their support in making Prom 2001 a great success.
I would like to thank the BUHS board and administration for supporting our decision to have this dance in a new location. This event would not have been possible without the devoted efforts of Dale and Donna Farmer and the rest of the crew from Planters courtyard and the Cowboy Shop. Their commitment to this community shows in the success of this dance. Other businesses that helped are Coca-Cola, Bear Essentials, M. Mann Co., Green Patch Nursery, Finer Sounds and Michel Angelo Decorating.
There were so many people to thank for their help in the preparations. I want to extend my appreciation to the parents of the junior class at Brawley Union High School, the class of 2002 officers, and Jeff Wise, the junior counselor.
