Calexico Pop Warner

Calexico Pop Warner will have final registration at the Camarena Memorial Library from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday and June 11. The fee is $65 and a birth certificate and photo are required.

Brawley Pop

Warner coaches

Gymnastics camp

Registration is being accepted for the Imperial Valley Gymnastics Club's summer fun and fitness camp. The cost is $45 per week and the camp will begin in June. For more information call 353-9558.


Cal Poly San Luis Obispo volleyball camp

Sign-ups are being accepted for the seventh annual Cal Poly San Luis Obispo volleyball camp for junior high and high school volleyball players. The camp will run June 18-20 at Imperial Valley College and cost is $150. Space is limited to 40 people. For more information contact Jill Tucker at 355-6326.

Dolphins registration

Brawley Pop Warner will have sign-ups from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the Lions Center kitchen. The cost is $60 for potential players and cheerleaders. football game

The Imperial Valley Football Coaches Association will stage the inaugural Imperial Valley north/south all-star football game at 7 p.m. Friday at Imperial High School. Tickets will be sold at the gate for $3 for adults and $1 for students and senior citizens. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased at Pete's Auto Parts in Brawley.

Youth girls

The Holtville High School girls basketball team will host a youth girls camp from 9 a.m. to noon June 11-15 in the high school gym. The camp is open to girls in grades second through eighth and cost is $25. For more information contact Jim Sturgeon at 356-4284 or Betty Acosta at 356-4904.

Cincinnati Reds

tryout camp

The Cincinnati Reds Major League Baseball organization will conduct a tryout camp for players between the ages of 16 and 23 at 9 a.m. June 23 at Central Union High School in El Centro. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and players must bring their own uniforms, gloves and spikes. Players under 21 must have a liability waiver signed by their parents to participate. Liability waivers are available prior to the camp by contacting Fred Yturralde at 353-8912.

Sunbeam Little League


Sunbeam Little League will have elections for the 2002 season at 6:30 p.m. June 6 in the Sunbeam Lake recreation room.

El Centro Babe Ruth

El Centro Babe Ruth will hold sign-ups for the 16- to 18-year-old baseball league from 6-8 p.m. through Friday at Stark Field. All interested players throughout the Valley may register. Bullfrogs military night

Tickets for Friday's Yuma Bullfrogs' minor league baseball game will be half-priced for military personnel and dependents.

Brawley awards banquet

The Brawley Union High School spring sports award banquet will be at 5:30 p.m. Monday. All athletes and coaches are invited to attend for free. The cost for all others is $5.

Mid Valley Pop Warner

Mid Valley Pop Warner will have registration from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at El Centro Wal-Mart. For more information call 352-7517.
