KUBO's "Teen Talk" to tackle gangs, safe sex this week

KUBO 88.7 FM's "Teen Talk" programming today through Wednesday will include discussions ranging from gangs to condoms and safe sex.

From 4 to 6 tonight, the "Teens of the 21st Century" from De Anza Junior High School in Calexico will talk to a guest from the Imperial County Sheriff's Crime Prevention Department about the effects of gangs on youths.

On Friday, "Teen Talk" representatives along with the American Cancer Society will talk to students at Central Union High School during lunch hour about a tobacco-free lifestyle.

Monday's "Just Wear It," a 4 to 6 p.m. show from The Center in Brawley, will discuss different forms of stress relief and relaxation in the Imperial Valley.

The "Teens Against Tobacco" show, 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, from the Imperial County Tobacco Education Center will discuss the use of condoms and safe sex.

Jose Valle from Clinicas de Salud del Pueblo's Teen Smart outreach program will be on hand to answer questions and give information.

The "Opinion Latina" show from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday will continue the discussion on condoms with a teen educator from San Diego Planned Parenthood.
