The Imperial Irrigation District Board of Directors will review and possibly adopt a resolution supporting legislation to assist implementation of several water issues at its meeting Tuesday.
The resolution recognizes the importance and interconnectedness of the quantification settlement agreement, California's Colorado River use plan and the reclamation of the Salton Sea.
The board will hear information on the power department's public benefits program request for proposals.
The request for proposals will be issued Tuesday and will close for evaluation July 23. After that, recommendations will be made to the board about development and implementation of new public benefits programs.
Additionally, the board will:
· discuss and possibly take action on Dahlia Canal project cost allocation
· receive an update on the water conservation and transfer study process from staff and legal counsel
· review and possibly adopt updated vehicle assignment and automotive equipment acquirement and use policy and procedures
· give authorization to enter into contract with Gold Fields Mining Corp. to purchase emission-reduction credits for a maximum price of $140,760.
