LUISA GUILIN-LOPEZ

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in Calexico for Luisa Guilin-Lopez, 91, of Calexico, who died Saturday in El Centro Regional Medical Center. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Calexico with the Rev. Edmundo Zarate will officiating.

Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Calexico.

Mrs. Lopez was born Oct. 26, 1909, in San Jose Del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico, and was raised there. She came to the United States in 1920, settling in Calexico. She was recently honored as a pioneer in Calexico at the city's anniversary.

She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and a past member of Las Vecinas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Lopez, in 1971.

Survivors include her daughters, Ninfa and Geri Lopez, both of Calexico; children and spouses, Raymundo and Mercedes Lopez and Elia and Arthur Urbaschak, all of Calexico, Maria Luisa and Charles Stevenson and Armando and Gloria Lopez, all of Yuma, and Juan and Lilia Lopez of Lakeside; brother, Gabriel Guilin of Blythe; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
