Thank You: Magnolia School Tiger kudos

June 15, 2001

Magnolia School, home of the Tigers, may be small in size but not small in appreciation!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the community who has supported our programs in more ways than one throughout the past year. Different Spirit Tiger activities and fund raisers take place at the school throughout the year with our biggest being the annual barbecue/drawing and bingo held every spring.

There are many local businesses that support our school and its happenings. Tiger thanks go out to: Tucker Jewelers, Yosemite Waters, Costco, Wal-Mart, Johnny's Burritos, Smart & Final, Country Meat Store, College View Market, John Baretta, Zendejas Hardware, Grasso's, Party Line, Mann Co., The Pampered Chef, Cheval Farms, Jordan Implement, Domino's Pizza, Brawley Floral, Hair Affair, Green Patch, Brown Bag, Graffik Graffiti, Torrence Farm Equipment, Driscoll's, Revelations, Lou Lange's, Del Rio Country Club, Eveleine's Feed, Brawley Sports & Awards, Tropical Delights, Superior Toy Store, Brawley Animal Clinic, Video 2000, Country Casuals, Rite Aid, U.S. Fitness, Lawson Products, Anna Walker's Nails, Lorriane's Gifts, RDO Equipment, Vons Brawley, Weather Toppers and TCBY. Whether you donated goods, services, prizes or bought tickets, we thank you.

More Tiger thanks to Calipatria State Prison for its donation of 25 computers for our computer lab and Octavio Peraza for helping to organize this venture.

An important note of appreciation goes out to the Imperial County Sheriff's Office and the California Highway Patrol for taking extra care to see to it that our country school and roads are safe!

As always, student success begins with involved parents. Magnolia Tiger parents have consistently been available whenever the need arises, be it helping with treats, donating to our latest cause or lending a helping hand. We thank you!

It doesn't hurt to have caring, enthusiastic and fun teachers and staff to help keep the Tigers on their paws. Special thanks to Kay Hughes, Laura Moiola, Frances Fink, Natalie Peraza, Blaine Smith, Maria Ayon, Phyllis Thompson, Leslie Mamer, Trubee Buford and Ralph Mesa. Magnolia wouldn't be what it is today, without all of you!

With Tiger gratitude:
