Four people, including two infants, suffered minor injuries when the vehicle they were in rolled on Highway 86 near the Border Patrol checkpoint in northwest Imperial County on Sunday.

The vehicle, driven by Virginia Lopez, 27, of El Centro, was heading south on Highway 86 about 2:30 a.m. when it crashed into the center median.

The vehicle started to slide sideways and re-entered the southbound lanes. As it entered the roadway it rolled and continued to do so across the southbound lanes.

According to a California Highway Patrol press release, the vehicle crashed through a perimeter fence and came to rest on its wheels west of the highway.
