Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego for Ronald "Keith" McLemore, 71, of Spring Valley, who died Wednesday in Paradise Hills Convalescent Hospital in San Diego. Pastor Steve Messick of Christ Community Church of El Centro will officiate.

Mr. McLemore was born Feb. 5, 1930, in Montgomery, Ala. He moved to California in 1932 and began working for the San Diego Union in 1953.

Mr. McLemore moved to the Imperial Valley in 1965 and continued working as a district circulation manager for the San Diego Union. He resided in the Valley until 1974 when he returned to San Diego and continued working for the newspaper. He retired in 1984.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret McLemore, in 1983; and son, David McLemore, in 1986.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Bill Haull of Spring Valley; daughter, Cynthia Cox of Imperial; grandchildren, Carissa and Angela McLemore, both of San Diego, Ryan and Justin Haull, both of Spring Valley, Eric Cox of El Centro, and Nikolaus, Ashlee and Brandi Cox, all of Imperial; and great-grandson, Gage Cox of El Centro.


The family suggests memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society, 400 S. 8th St., El Centro, CA 92243.


Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in El Centro for Adrian Reyes, 19, of El Centro, a homicide victim who died July 8 in El Centro Regional Medical Center. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in El Centro with the Rev. Jaime Escobedo officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.

Mr. Reyes was born Jan. 20, 1982, in El Centro and attended schools there.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Carlos Reyes, in 1979; and paternal grandmother, Margarita Reyes, in 2000.

Survivors include his parents, Enrique and Josefina Reyes of El Centro; brother and sister-in-law, Carlos and Nicole Reyes of Stockton; brothers, Freddy and Sergio Reyes, both of El Centro; sister and brother-in-law, Annie and Raul Solorio of Stockton; sisters, Sherice and Margarita Reyes, both of El Centro; aunts and uncles, Alicia and John LaCuesta of El Centro, Rachel and Johnny Saiza of Holtville and Angie and Richard Garcia of Calexico; aunts, Tinah Aguirre of San Diego and Lupe and Esperanza Cuevas, both of El Paso, Texas; uncles, Ramario, Jose and Jesus Cuevas, all of El Paso; maternal grandmother, Maria Cuevas of El Centro; and niece, Dedey Solorio of Stockton.
