CALEXICO — Police here arrested a Greenfield woman on suspicion of willful cruelty to a child and assault with a deadly weapon following a domestic dispute in the city Thursday.

Marisol Rangel, 31, was booked into the county jail with her bail set at $35,000 following the incident, which occurred shortly before 12:30 p.m.

Calexico police Sgt. Jim Neujahr said Rangel, with two of her children in her car, reportedly rammed her husband's car after she found his vehicle in front of another house in the 300 block of Paseo De Su Alteza.

Rangel reportedly swung a shovel at her husband and then broke out his car windows.

Neujahr said the arrest on suspicion of willful cruelty to a child stems from the fact her children were in the car with her when she rammed her husband's vehicle. The children were not injured.
