HOLTVILLE — A county probation search of a home near here Tuesday led to the arrest of a woman for allegedly having loaded firearms and 17 grams of methamphetamine at her residence.

Shawn Renee Beddoe, who reportedly resides at the home where the search was conducted in the 1900 block of Orchard Road, was booked into the county jail Tuesday.

She remained in custody this morning with her bail set at $25,000.

County Sheriff's Sgt. Jake Holguin said Beddoe was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sales and for being in possession of firearms where drugs are being kept.

Holguin said probation officers, conducting the search about 2 p.m., were looking for a man who resides at the home.

That man, Joseph Lopez Velasco, on probation for an assault with a deadly weapon conviction, was not home.

He remained at large today and is wanted on the same counts for which Beddoe was arrested, along with probation violations.

Holguin said three guns were found in the home — a .25-caliber pistol, a .22-caliber rifle and .22-caliber handgun. All were loaded, Holguin said.

Probation officers also found 17 grams of a white substance. It was tested and determined to be methamphetamine. Holguin said drug paraphernalia also was found in the home.
