County probation officers arrested a man for allegedly being in possession of firearms and methamphetamine, a day after his Holtville home was searched.
Joseph Lopez Velasco, 41, was in the county jail this morning after being booked on suspicion of possessing three loaded guns, 17 grams of methamphatemine for sales and parole violations.
There was no bail set for Velasco, who has a previous conviction for assault with a deadly weapon.
Velasco was taken into custody at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Imperial County Probation Department in El Centro after he turned himself in.
His arrest came a day after probation officers searched his Holtville home and reportedly found three loaded guns, 17 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
