A woman walking from a bank at a busy El Centro intersection was robbed by two men Friday, El Centro police Sgt. Jerry Novak reported Sunday.
Novak said two men, both described as Hispanic, forcibly took jewelry and a money pouch from a woman as she left the Washington Mutual Bank at Eighth and Main streets at 5:30 p.m.
The woman's identity was unavailable Sunday as was information on whether she was injured.
Novak said the robbery occurred as the woman was walking to her car. He said no weapon was used, but the case is being considered a robbery because the men used force.
The victim reported to police both men were wearing white T-shirts with blue denim pants. She also reported smelling alcohol on both men.
