Mervyn's is proud to have hosted ChildSpree for the past nine years. As a company, we feel we are providing a strong commitment to giving in our community. ChildSpree was a success again this year. Words cannot describe the excitement and gratitude expressed by the 71 children who were involved in the back to school shopping spree.
We are truly grateful for the community partners, Nancie Rhodes of the Sunrise Optimist Club, Ed Preciado and Jerry Godsey of the Sheriff's Activities League, Judy Chilcott of the Brawley Boys & Girls Club and Brawley PAL.
Additionally, we would like to thank the following El Centro businesses for their generosity throughout the years: Locke Air Conditioning, Valley Independent Bank, The Home Depot, Imperial Irrigation District, Staples, Big 5, Costco, Beauty Xpectations, Lollipop Clowns, Wonder Bread, Kmart, Wendy's, Albertson's, El Centro California Highway Patrol office, 94.5 radio/Univision, El Centro Fire Department, Imperial Valley Press and to all the employees at Mervyn's who helped support this special event.
