SAN DIEGO — The Vincent Memorial High School football team lost 10-6 to Francis Parker here Saturday.
Trailing 3-0, the Scots (1-1) got on the scoreboard in the second quarter when Juan Roman Lopez scored from two yards out. Vincent's attempt at a two-point conversion failed, but the Scots led 6-3.
Vincent held its lead until late in the third quarter when Francis Parker's Derek LaSalle returned a fumble 84 yards for a touchdown.
Eric Ruiz led Vincent offensively with 60 yards rushing on nine carries. Scot quarterback Miguel Montaño completed six passes for 97 yards but was intercepted three times, twice by LaSalle. The Scots amassed 198 total yards.
