Hunter safety classes

Youth baseball tournament

The Calexico youth baseball league is seeking T-ball players ages 6-7 to play in the Mexicali winter youth baseball tournament. There is no cost to play. For more information call Robert Aguilar at 768-1012.

COLAB golf tournament

The Coalition of Labor, Agriculture and Business of Imperial County will stage a golf tournament Sept. 28 at Del Rio Country Club in Brawley. The format is a three-person scramble and the cost is $300 per team. For more information call Oscar Grijalva at 352-5600 or 312-9808.


Karate tournament

The Imperial Valley Shoto-Kan and Calexico Recreation Karate Club will stage the 10th annual Imperial Valley Acuña Karate Championship from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 7 in the Calexico High School gym. For more information call 355-8636 or 768-2176.

Golf tournament

Brawley Union High School's girls golf team will have its Pink Lady Classic Golf Tournament starting at 8 a.m. Sunday at Del Rio Country Club in Brawley. The cost is $60 per player.

Entry forms are available at the country club and players must be registered by Saturday.

Imperial Soccer Club


The Imperial Soccer Club will have registration from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and late registration from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sept. 22 at the Little League field at Fourth and F streets in Imperial. Registration fee is $45 and $55 for late registration. A date-of-birth verification is also required.

Alumni football sign-ups

Alumni Athletics is looking for graduates of Imperial Valley high schools to compete in a full contact football alumni game in December. Each roster is limited to 32 players. For more information call Bob Cazet at (877) 950-1428.
