Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley for Francisco Andres Pizano-Mata, 28, of Brawley, who died Monday in his home.

A determination of the cause of death is pending investigation.

Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in Riverview Cemetery in Brawley. The Rev. Rolando Allende of First Mexican Baptist Church of Brawley will officiate.

Mr. Pizano-Mata was born on June 25, 1973, in Lakewood. He attended grammar school in Artesia and later moved to the Imperial Valley, attending junior high and high school in Brawley.


After high school, Mr. Pizano-Mata studied welding and had been working for Rolling R Farms in Brawley.

He was a member of First Mexican Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Teodoro Mata, in 1984; maternal grandfather, Ignacio Pizano in 1980; and uncle, Albert Pizano in 1995.

Survivors include his mother, Rosie Mata of Brawley; son, Teodoro Mata of Meza, Ariz.; daughter, Thalia Mata of Bullhead City, Ariz.; sister, Carmen Navarrete of Brawley; maternal grandmother, Andrea Pizano-Spear of Brawley; step-grandfather, Jeff Spear of Brawley; uncle, Frank Pizano of Brawley; aunt, Margie Pizano of Calipatria; and many cousins and nephews.
