Outlook: Coming off a 52-0 shutout at the hands of Brawley Union High, Central will look to get any offense going against Silverado. In last week's loss, Central netted only 39 yards of offense, with five yards on the ground. The Spartans will look to break into the win column with a rushing game led by Anthony Hellum, who ran for 92 yards two weeks ago against Palm Desert.

Brawley (3-1) at Rancho Buena Vista (1-2)

When: 7:30 Saturday night

Where: Rancho Buena Vista High in Vista. Take Interstate 8 to 805 and merge onto I-5. Take I-5 to 78 east and get off going south on Melrose. Take Melrose to 1601 Longhorn Drive.

Radio: KROP 1300 AM

Outlook: Brawley will try to capitalize on the momentum of last week's 52-0 win over Central to improve its record to 4-1. With the emergence of Arturo Ayon at running back, Brawley has three legitimate No. 1 running backs in Ayon, Andy Buckner and Mitchell Ruiz. Led by Ruiz, who has over 550 yards rushing on the season, the Wildcats will look to run first and foremost.

Santa Fe Christian (4-0) at Imperial (0-4)

When: 7:30 tonight

Where: Imperial High School, 517 W. Barioni Blvd.

Admission: $5 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students without ASB cards and $2 for students with ASB cards and children under age 12

Outlook: After an 0-4 start, Imperial will look to finally break into the win column against Santa Fe Christian of Solana Beach. The Tigers will try to bounce back from a 39-20 loss to Palo Verde last week. Imperial will again look to the brothers Cherry, Andre and Marcus, to lead the ground game. Two weeks ago against Calexico the Cherrys combined for 151 yards rushing.

Cibola (4-0) at Southwest (1-3)

When: 7:30 tonight

Where: Southwest High, 2001 Ocotillo Drive in El Centro

Admission: $5 for general admission and $3 for students

Radio: KWST 1430 AM

Outlook: Coming off a 10-7 heartbreaking loss to Madison High, Southwest head coach Jerry Storts will try to avoid his fourth loss of what has been a disappointing season as the Eagles host Cibola. Cibola already has victories over Central Union and Calexico this season and will try to make Storts' squad its third Imperial Valley League victim. After a six-turnover, 172-yard effort last week, Storts will continue to try mix up the rushing and passing games. Against Central and Calexico, the Raiders have given up only 12 points (six each).

Palo Verde (1-3) at Holtville (3-1)

When: 7:30 tonight

Where: 755 Olive Ave.

Admission: $5 for general admission and $3 for students

Outlook: Holtville and Palo Verde high schools enter tonight's contest riding emotions from both sides of the spectrum, with the Vikings stuck with the bitter taste of a 22-8 defeat at the hands of Calipatria and Palo Verde coming off its first win of the season, a 39-20 win over Imperial. Holtville will try to get back on the winning track utilizing its hard-nosed running attack led by Frank Lopez and Jared Brady. Lopez enters the game as one of the top running backs in the Valley with 534 yards on the ground and will try to add to that total against a 1-3 Palo Verde team.
