Youth basketball league
Calexico's youth basketball league will have registration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday and Oct. 28 at the Linda Godfrey Gym. The league is open to boys and girls in grades 4-8. The cost is $15 per player. For more information call 768-7492.

El Centro Junior Wrestling
The El Centro Junior Wrestling Club will have registration from 5:30 to 7:30 tonight and Thursday, Oct. 23-25 and 30-31 at Stark Field in El Centro.
The cost is $45 and a birth certificate is required to register. Practice begins the first week of November in the Southwest High School wrestling room.

Holtville Takedown Junior Wrestling Club sign-ups
The Holtville Takedown Junior Wrestling Club will have sign-ups from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the Holtville High School football field for children ages 4-14. Sign-ups also will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Nov. 5 at the American Legion Hall in Holtville. The registration fee is $30 and potential wrestlers must bring a birth certificate. The Imperial High School boys basketball team will have a barbecue from 3-6 p.m. Saturday in front of the Imperial High gym. The cost is $6 per plate and the event is aimed at raising money for the team.
IVC "Midnight Madness"
The Imperial Valley College men's and women's basketball teams will have their annual "Midnight Madness" starting at 9 p.m. Saturday in the IVC gym. The event will feature scrimmages, three-point contests and dunk competitions. The event is free and open to the public.
