Scattered power outages affected various parts of the county this morning as thick fog banks moved through the Valley.
Imperial Irrigation District supervisor of media communications Sue Giller said a substation in Imperial went down this morning around 7:30 causing a loss of power in that community, but that electricity was restored in about 15 minutes.
She said there have been minor power losses throughout the Imperial Valley and that IID troubleshooters are out working on any problems and power is being rerouted as necessary.
"All of the problems we have been experiencing have been related to the fog and moisture," Giller said.
In addition to the loss of power in Imperial, there have been reports of outages along Highway 86 and in various parts of El Centro.
