Soroptimist Club committee ready to fill all Cattle Call ticket requests

October 30, 2001|By JIM McVICAR, Special to this newspaper

With everything being so high-tech, it is comforting to know that some things haven't changed — at least not very much.

One of those "things" is buying tickets for the 45th Cattle Call Rodeo on Nov. 10 and Nov. 11.

The telephone reservation center may be reached at 344-5206.

On Thursday the "live" ticket office opened just inside the lobby at the Planters Hotel in Brawley. The booth is open from noon to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

Jean Bishop and her talented committee from the Brawley Soroptimist Club again will handle rodeo ticket sales.

Reserved seats for all three performances are available. Times for the rodeo are 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Nov. 10, and 1 p.m. Nov. 11.

The time for the Nov. 11 performance is an hour earlier this year to make it more convenient for rodeo fans.

They can come down to the arena and have lunch at noon and then go directly to their seats. The performance will wind up an hour early so families will have more time to plan for the coming week.

All reserved seats are $10. General admission seats are $5. VISA and MasterCard are accepted.

The arena only seats 5,264.
