November 06, 2001|By RUDY YNIGUEZ, Staff Writer

The El Centro City Council will have a public hearing to consider the sale of property in the city's Centerpoint Business Park to build a 20,000 square-foot combination office and shop and recycling area.

The council meets in open session at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at 1275 Main St.

The sale would include one parcel in the park and a portion of a second parcel. The sale price is set at $165,000.

The property would undergo $400,000 to $500,000 in development.

The council also will discuss potential changes to the city's budget, a recently completed audit of El Centro Regional Medical Center, the possibility of changing speed limits on several streets, granting a two-year extension to the Farmer Estates development for the filing of a final map, awarding a contract for lawn-mowing services and a potential change in city clerk pay.
