BRAWLEY — The preliminary results of Tuesday's election show incumbent Rodney Arterberry and Helen Noriega winning the two available seats on the Brawley Union High School Board of Trustees.
Arterberry, appointed to the board more than a year ago and running in his first election, likely will retain a seat after receiving 1,066 votes, or nearly 29 percent of all votes.
The second seat likely will be filled by Helen Noriega, who came in second with 877 votes, or nearly 24 percent of votes cast.
Robert Prior received 824 votes, or about 22 percent of the total. Miguel Miranda received 619 votes, or nearly 17 percent, and Robert Hansen finished with 319 votes, or almost 9 percent.
