Accidents leave kids injured

The California Highway Patrol was investigating two accidents that occurred Saturday evening, both of them on or near Evan Hewes Highway and both causing minor injuries to children.

Few details were available on either accident by presstime Saturday evening.

The Highway Patrol reported that one accident occurred at 4:15 p.m. on Forrester Road just north of Evan Hewes. That case was described as a single-vehicle rollover.

Specific information on how many injuries resulted was unavailable, but it was thought that at least one youth suffered minor injuries.

The second accident occurred not long after the first. It involved a two-vehicle collision in the area of Highway 111 and Evan Hewes.


Specific information on how many people were hurt was unavailable, but the Highway Patrol did report at least one youth was injured.

Information on the causes of the accidents also was unavailable by presstime.

More details were expected to be released Monday.
