Thanks: Public Safety Parade and Fair kudos

The week of Oct. 7-13 was designated National Fire Prevention week by the National Fire Protection Association.

On behalf of the Imperial Valley Fire Chiefs Association and El Centro Fire Department personnel and staff, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the following participating agencies and associations of their continued participation and support of the fifth annual Public Safety Parade and Fair. This event was hosted in El Centro on Oct. 13 and it is estimated there were about 2,500 people in attendance.

Los Vigilantes, El Centro Police Department, El Centro Public Works/Parks & Recreation, Imperial County Office of Edcuation child development, Valley Independent Bank, A&S Services, Gold Cross Ambulance, U.S. Immigration, California Highway Patrol, Brawley police/fire department, Calexico Fire Department, Imperial Country Fire Department, U.S. Border Patrol, El Centro Regional Medical Center, Black & Gold Star Drill Team, Burn Institute, Calipatria police and fire departments, Holtville police and fire departments, Holtville High School cheerleaders, Holtville Carrot queen and court, Imperial County Sheriff's Office (all units), Centinela Fire Department, Kennedy Middle School band, Frank Wright Middle School band, Central Union High School band, I.V. Sun Twirlers (all divisions), The Salvation Army, Imperial County Health Department, Raymond Castillo, Alex Wireless, KVWA Korean War Veterans, Univision, KMXX and KSEH radio stations, Southwest high freshman cheerleaders, La Gente Car Club, Sunrunner Car Club, El Centro Senior Club, Southwest Racing, Navy reserve recruiters, Regional Occupational Program fire science program, and to all agencies not named, your assistance was greatly appreciated.

A special thank you to all the committee members who worked so hard to make this event and its activities possible. An event of this magnitude could not of been as successful without your dedicated assistance.
