November 16, 2001|STAFF REPORT

CALEXICO — The Calexico 20-30 Club in conjunction with the Calexico Chamber of Commerce and the city of Calexico will stage the annual Christmas parade Dec. 8 in the city's downtown.

Expected to participate are marching bands from throughout the Imperial Valley and Mexicali. Drill teams, floats, equestrian groups and Santa Claus will be there to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

"We are looking forward to a wonderful parade that the Calexico community will be proud of," said Calexico chamber president Libby Peraza.

Entry forms for the parade are available at the Calexico chamber.

"There is limited space and the earlier your forms are in the better," said Tomas Velez, president of the 20/30 Club.

The deadline for all entry forms is Dec. 4.

The 20-30 Club will be announcing this year's grand marshal a few days before the parade.

For more information call the Calexico chamber at 357-1166.
