Mariana Saenz Jimenez

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in El Centro for Mariana Saenz Jimenez, 42, of San Diego, who died Nov. 9, in General Hospital in Ensenada as a result of an automobile accident. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Holtville. The Rev. Cecilio Moraga of St. Joseph's will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.

Mrs. Jimenez was born Aug. 5, 1959, in Tucson.

She married Refugio Cordova Jimenez in 1987 in Yuma.

Mrs. Jimenez was raised and attended schools in El Centro. She moved to San Diego in 1980. She worked as a phlebotomist for the late Dr. Tucker.

She later moved back to El Centro for a while before moving again to San Diego. She worked for San Diego School District for eight years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Refugio Cordova Jimenez, and her daughter Silvia Andrea Saenz, who both died Nov. 8.

Survivors include her children, Olivia Jimenez and Emilio Jimenez, both of San Diego; sister, Syliva Bobbie Velez of Oceanside; brother, Richard Saenz of El Centro; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family suggests memorials be sent to Valley Independent Bank, 502 Holt Ave., Holtville, "in memory of the Jimenez family."

REFUGIO CORDOVA JIMENEZ

Mr. Jimenez was born June 4, 1955, in Mexicali.

Mr. Jimenez was raised in Mexicali. He came to the United States at age 17 and settled in Holtville. He married Mariana Saenz on June 26, 1987, in Yuma.

He worked in construction for the past 20 years and moved to San Diego six years ago after living in El Centro for a short time.

Survivors include his children, Olivia Jimenez and Emilio Jimenez, both of San Diego; sisters, Maria Medina of Holtville and Margarita Cordova of Ensenada; brothers, Leonel Cordova of El Centro, Ricardo Jimenez of Mexicali and Javier Cordova of Ensenada; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family suggests memorials be sent to Valley Independent Bank, 502 Holt Ave., Holtville, "in memory of the Jimenez family."

RICHARD ALLYN HARTWELL

Services will be at a later date in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego for Richard Allyn Hartwell, 67, of El Centro, who died Monday in El Centro Regional Hospital.

Mr. Hartwell was born Feb. 19, 1934, in Greenfield, Mass. He was raised and attended schools there.

Mr. Hartwell served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He moved to the Imperial Valley in 1960, settling in El Centro.

Survivors include his companion of 23 years, Virginia Fleenor of El Centro; brothers Ernest and Russell Hartwell, both of Massachusetts; Kenneth Hartwell of Victorville, and Fredrick Hartwell of Pennsylvania; sister Dorothy Whiting of Massachusetts; sister-in-law Jackie Hartwell of Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be sent to the Humane Society, 1575 E. Pico Road, El Centro, CA 92243.

SILVIA ANDREA SAENZ

Ms. Saenz was born Oct. 2, 1982, in San Diego. She was raised and attended schools in Holtville and El Centro. She graduated last year from San Diego High School. She worked at the Rally's restaurant chain.

Survivors include her sister, Olivia Jimenez, and brother, Emilio Jimenez, both of San Diego; aunts, Sylia Bobbie Velez of Oceanside, Maria Medina of Holtville and Margarita Cordova of Ensenada; uncles, Richard Saenz and Leonel Cordova, both of El Centro, Ricardo Jimenez of Mexicali and Javier Cordova of Ensenada; and numerous cousins.
