Imperial library book sale Saturday

December 04, 2001|STAFF REPORT

IMPERIAL — Thinking of relaxing with a book over the Christmas break?

On Saturday there will be close to 3,000 books for sale at the city of Imperial's public library.

Library technician Fred Fontaine is hosting the mega book sale as a way of finding good homes for books and raising a few dollars for the library.

Fontaine says there's a good variety of fiction and non-fiction, children's and adult's hardbound and paperback books.

There will be some Spanish-language books for sale as well.

"All the books will be priced very low and no book will be priced at more than $1," Fontaine said.

The sale will run from 9 a.m. through 1 p.m. at the library at 200 W. 9th St. in Imperial, just south of Eager Park.
