Three held for alleged burgary, assault

WINTERHAVEN — Two brothers from this community and a Yuma woman were arrested Tuesday for allegedly beating a woman and stealing her purse outside an area market.

Ira Shawn Hartt, 37, and Tracey Hartt, 38, were booked into county jail on suspicion of robbery and assault. They were in jail this morning with their bail set at $50,000.

Both also were booked on parole violations, and no bail was established on those counts.

Also arrested was Gayleen Alvisshanna Emerson, 25, of Yuma, who was booked into county jail on suspicion of robbery and assault. Her bail was set at $50,000.

Another woman thought to be involved in the robbery remained at large this morning.

County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Jesse Obeso said the four reportedly beat a 21-year -old Wintehaven woman and stole her purse outside Gonzo's Market on Winterhaven Drive.

He alleged the Hartt brothers, Emerson and the other woman, beat the woman and stole her purse.
