arrest four in drug raid

The Imperial Valley Street Interdiction Team with help from the county Narcotic Task Force and El Centro police detectives served a search warrant on a residence that resulted in four arrests and seizures of methamphetamine, marijuana, illegal drug paraphernalia and a rifle.

A press release from SIT stated agents from the three departments searched a residence about 12:30 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of Woodward Avenue in El Centro and made several arrests.

Those arrested were David Alacon, 28, Christine Boni, 21, Conselo Nolasco, 33, and Dona Robison, 42, for narcotic-related charges.

Agents also seized cash and various items thought to be stolen property.

All the suspects were in the county jail Friday with bail set at $25,000 each.

"This investigation was started by the NTF," said Tony Lain, SIT task force commander.

"The NTF received information from a concerned citizen and later obtained a search warrant. We assisted NTF by serving the search warrant and making today's arrests," said Lain.

"Our mission is to increase the quality of life for the residents of the Valley by removing drug dealers from the community. So far the SIT unit has made over 50 drug-related arrests in the last four months," he added.

"Today's successful operation is just another example of what can happen when the community gets involved and different law enforcement agencies work together," Lain said Friday.
