HOLTVILLE — Youngsters will have an opportunity to visit with Santa Claus in Holt Park from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

While waiting for the annual appearance of the jolly man to appear with candy canes and toys, Holtville Chamber of Commerce volunteers will offer refreshments. Soup and sandwiches will be provided by Adoption Wise, cookies and candy canes are being given by the chamber and the Holtville Athletic Club is supplying the hot chocolate.

Santa, expected to arrive on a fire truck, will distribute toys donated by Adoption Wise. It is rumored the bearded red-suited gentleman will be assisted by Jack Vessey of Holtville.

Adults will not be left out of the festivities. Local merchants have donated numerous prizes to be given away throughout the evening, and the Holtville High School Viking Band of Pride will play Christmas carols.
